Heat pump is basically a device, which transfers heat from one location to another. The heat pump is not only used for the purpose of heating, but also used for the cooling purposes. Usually, the heat pumps are used to transfer heat from a low temperature to a higher temperature. Some common examples of heating are refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners. Generally, a heat pump consists of four components, namely refrigerant, reversing valve, coil and the evaporator. Refrigerant is a liquid substance that circulates through heat pump. Heat pump absorbs transports and releases heat. Reversing valve controls the direction of refrigerant in the heat pump. The heat pump device pumps heat from a cooler to the warmer location and also extract heat from the air. A heat pump works like an air conditioner in the summer season, and works like a heater in the winter season. It means heat pump works both as a cooling and heating unit, only in one device.

Heating pumps are most favorable and resourceful forms of electric heating in the modest weathers. There are three different types of heat pump, such as ground source, water source and air-to-air. All the types of heat pump can be installed very easily. Heat pump collects heat from the air, ground and water, and can utilize heat and cool to your home. For the best and efficient work of the heat pumps, you should install your heat pump very properly and select the right size of the pump that can easily fulfill the needs of your home. Coil is a loop of tubing, where heat transfer takes place. The evaporator is a coil in which a refrigerant absorbs heat from its surroundings and boils to become a low-temperature vapor. Heat pumps are more cost effective than the other types of conventional heating devices. The heating pumps are becoming very popular to heat the swimming pools, and warming water for the domestic use.
